In our efforts to follow we forget it is Him we are to follow, not our own inventions. God is the source and needs to be the center of our direction at all times. We must see clearly when our... Jesus' Parable of the Growing Seed
Mark 4:26-29 (New International Version) 26 He also said, "This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain--first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the... Jesus’ Parable: The Wise and Foolish Builders
Matthew 7:24-29 (New International Version Bible) 24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine... Answering Jesus' Call to Seek His Kingdom
“But Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33, New International Version Bible) I have heard that verse many different times in many different situations. Yet somehow today, the verse takes on a new light as if the scales have fallen from my eyes. The word Jesus chose to emphasize that day for his sermon on the mount was “seek." Jesus... Do I Enjoy My Job?
Recently at work I was ask the question "do I enjoy my job?" For most of us that would be a simple question, but it caused me to do a lot of reflecting. So...I thought I would share some of my thoughts. Over the past few years, I have discovered that seeking enjoyment in our job really cannot be found. The job will never provide the enjoyment that any of us seek. (posted by Richard 4 years 262 days ago.)
